The latest transition to on-line business for TGA brings CTN into the electronic age.
On 1 July TGA announced that it would be moving immediately to replace the current paper forms with a new on-line submission process through the TGA’s recently revamped TGA Business Services (TBS) site. All CTN notifications must now be made on-line.
This change does make things easier for sponsors. Gone are the days of collecting signatures from Principal Investigator, Approval Authority and Human Research Ethics Committee. These are all replaced with a simple on-line form and sponsor declaration.
There’s an additional advantage in that the new process also allows direct updates of amendments and variations of notifications with no need for filing of paper supplements.
The new process also uses the standard TGA on-line fee invoicing and payment process familiar to those using other TGA on-line submissions.
Guidance on the new on-line process is available on the TGA website.
